Tragedy of Ethel Parry
The South Wales Argus has been a valuable tool in keeping up to date with all the local news for over a Century. This is an image taken from the South Wales Weekly Argus Saturday 20th November 1909. The paper did a weekly round up of all the village news.

Also in the paper that day was a piece about a Sudbrook girl, Ethel Parry, who was laid to rest in Portskewett following a tragic accident on 13 November when she tried to cross a railway track but got hit by a train. The paper covered the funeral in detail.
